Let us know your take in the comments section below! Usher kicked off his RCA career with the Diplo-produced “Climax”, one of the singer’s best songs in years.

Speaking with TMZ, Malik said, “Thank you, Simon” after Cowell negotiated Malik’s new solo contract with RCA.

The challenge is now on for both Zayn Malik and the remaining One Direction members.

He also provided a different reason as to why he was parting ways with the band.

After all, now him and Naughty Boy are over, he’s moved on to working with Frank Ocean’s producer Malay. In 2014, Forbes listed them the second-highest earning celebrities under 30, with the group earning an estimated $75 million from June 2013 to June 2014. Without him, the musical direction (no pun) of the pop stars will be forever altered. He put them together, he pressed the buttons, he made it happen.

However, plenty more fans were thrilled and excited to see what Zayn would do next.

It looks like all those questions about a solo career have been answered.

Simon Cowell has since tweeted his congratulations to Big Zayno, explaining that the move is something they’ve been working on for a while.

Watch out, One DirectionZayn Malik is now officially a competitor.

There will DEFINITELY be some fantastic high notes that our boy is famous for.

I Won’t Mind featured Malik singing softly over an acoustic guitar, which could hint at a more subtle, grown-up direction from One Direction’s stadium-filling pop.

Even Conor Maynard is trying to get a piece of him – the “Can’t Say No” star is keen to work with Zayn.

Yet Timberlake’s diverse slew of collaborators garnered interest from listeners who might have otherwise dismissed his solo efforts as more of the same. Could you imagine how funky a Maynard/Malik mix would be though?!
