Simon Cowell’s home burgled

He may be known as one of TV’s most cut throat judges, but after unidentified individuals broke into his London home while he and his family were asleep, Simon Cowell is understandably shook up and upset. According to police reports, the man stole jewelry and money – believed to have been worth around £500,000 – from Cowell’s safe.

By the time the police had arrived, the intruder had already entered his home and was apprehended in one of Cowell’s walk-in closets.

“We can still make it better”. Apart from the fact someone broke into my house and stole my stuff, which is scary, it could have been worse. Still, Cowell seemed most shaken up by the fact that someone got into his house while his family was sleeping.

The 56-year-old revealed how a private security guard called Mendes, employed to patrol the neighbourhood, had confronted the burglar after seeing him drop something in the street.

In an interview with The Sunday Mirror, M’Bathonha Mendes said he saw a shadowy figure running away from Cowell’s property and leapt into action.

“He got out of his vehicle, picked up the passport and realised it was mine”.

The burglar reportedly found the key to Cowell’s safe and was out of the Holland Park home within a half hour.

“I don’t know if there would be scope for Dermot or Louis to come back but when I go through the research we have to listen to what people liked and take it into account”.

In 2012, Leanne Zaloumis, then 30, from Catford in south-east London, was given a community order after admitting smashing a window at his home with a broken brick.

“Maybe I have to get bigger guard dogs”.

A representative for Cowell has yet to comment on the burglary report. The break-in raises questions about the effectiveness of security at the Georgian house.
