However, Louis paid £20,000 in a charity auction at the Music Industry Trusts Awards in London last night to spend a day at X Factor rehearsals.

The 56-year-old X Factor judge had appeared at Yahoo’s NewFront event this year to promote Ultimate DJ, in which MCs would compete for a Sony record contract, along with bagging a headline spot at a major electronic music festival.
Simon Cowell’s DJ-themed competition show has been dropped by Yahoo. The 24th edition of the gala honored him.

But Louis doesn’t love all of the changes Si has made to the show, adding: ‘[He’s] made too many changes.
He then joked, “Guys, who misses Zayn?”, referring to former One Direction star Zayn Malik, who left the group earlier this year. “He’s awesome in every way”. “His face is different!”
X Factor host Caroline Flack, 35, said: “I did three years on the Xtra Factor, so I feel like I’m at school and now I’m in the fourth year!”
On Cowell, she said: “He’s very personable”. He’s actually not as scary as you think.

Cowell went on to dedicate the prize to his mother, who died in July, and late father, and acknowledged his two-year-old son Eric, saying, “I hope he will be standing here in 23 years time as I’m being wheeled into the Grosvenor House Hotel on my second pack of cigarettes”.
