Simon Mignolet: “We don’t fear Manchester City”
Jurgen Klopp gave a very honest and charismatic sign off to his post-match interview with Sky Sports following Liverpool’s League Cup semi-final penalty shoot-out victory over Stoke City on Tuesday night.

The Potters, trailing 1-0 from the first leg, had brought the tie level in the first half when Marko Arnautovic tapped in Bojan Krkic’s cross.
Liverpool’s performance was less than impressive but Joe Allen’s winning penalty, after goalkeeper Simon Mignolet had saved from Peter Crouch and Marc Muniesa, capped something of a mini-revival for the Wales midfielder.
Klopp said: “I didn’t see one shot. I will have to watch them at home”. “It’s taken us to Wembley and that’s the most important thing”.
“The goal I think everybody knows it was double offside and that is unlucky for us, but the team struck back again and did really well”, Klopp said. It will be a north of England final.
“Over the two legs, with all the games the players have had in the last two months, they deserved it. The fans deserved it. Liverpool deserved it”. It is a great place to be. In my opinion how they all live together, the Blues and the Reds, in normal life, that’s how football should be.
Now those Stoke supporters will head south to watch Mark Hughes’s side pick up their FA Cup campaign in the fourth round at Crystal Palace.
Liverpool won a dramatic penalty shootout 6-5 to reach Wembley, much to the frustration of Hughes.
Manchester City or Everton, I don’t care, we will win the Cup.
“It’s why I came here, we’re lucky enough to be in the final”.
“We can win a trophy and be in the hunt for others during a transition season when it’s easy to say, ‘There’s been a lot of changes – let’s see how we do”. He uploaded this video to his Instagram account with the caption: “Better get my boots ready!”

“Hopefully we will get the credit we deserve”, said the former Manchester United, Barcelona and Chelsea striker.
