Simone Biles Knows Exactly What She’d Save During a Fire
Team USA’s women’s gymnastics team sat down with Bob Costas and watched the gold medal ceremony for their team all-around win at the Rio Olympics. When Biles drilled her Amanar and put up a 15.933 – tied for highest of the night – the USA was already on top of the leaderboard and everyone else was playing for second.

The US team, who finished with the top marks in all four disciplines, scored 184.897 to win by an eye-popping 8.209 points.
She’s already got one gold medal, having led the Final Five to the team title.
Sports Illustrated’s Brian Cazeneuve previews Team USA’s Simone Biles and Aly Raisman’s chances in the individual all-around and if there are any other competitors that might take the medal.
And at the Rio Olympic Arena, Biles showed why she is held in such high esteem by producing the day’s best vault, beam and floor routines, the latter of which brought the curtain down on a majestic individual performance. They were part of the Fierce Five that won gold in London. Marta Karolyi, who helped turn her native Romania into a gymnastics powerhouse in the 70s with her husband Bela long before becoming head coach of the American team, said the quality of the US program, and its dynasty, stacks up against those dominant Eastern European programs of the past.
“Just because she wins every single competition”.
Simone Biles, Gabby Douglas, Laurie Hernandez, Madison Kocian and Aly Raisman soared into Olympic history with observers saying this year’s USA squad is the best ever. This Olympics is the last in which five team members will be allowed.
So how did they get their name?
Meanwhile, Olympic swimmer and Catholic Katie Ledecky has won two gold medals in the Games so far.
Next came the uneven bars, the lone apparatus where Biles has shown glimpses of mortality, where she stuck a ideal dismount for a 14.800.
Simon Biles, admired in her inherent talent as a gymnast, is now also a record holder as the first African-American to hold the all-around the world champion title and the first of her gender to hold all-around titles in succession.

“I do say a prayer – or two – before any race”. Svitolina, who had never before played in an Olympics, smiled and stuck her arms out in front of her, palms up, as if waking up from a dream.
