Simone Biles selfie clamour ‘delays’ Rio closing event

That’s what happened to American gymnast Simone Biles, who was the flag bearer for Team USA during the Closing Ceremonies of the Rio Olympics. Biles may be 4-9, but her strength could rival any of the athletes here at the Olympics. Simone Biles absolutely slayed throughout the entire 2016 Games, and she proudly represented her country once more by carrying the US flag during the big finale on August 21. As she held an American flag that was easily twice her size, the little gymnastic wonder emerged as the star of the show, with numerous athletes stopping the 19-year-old in order to take selfies with her.
