According to her obituary, the Feek family will hold a private funeral for Joey and she will be buried at the Feek Family Cemetery.

After the ceremony, Feek wrote that he took their 2-year-old daughter, Indiana, out to see her mother. The couple wrote and recorded music as country duo Joey + Rory, whose final album, Hymns That Are Important to Us, debuted at No. 1 on both the Top Country Albums chart and Top Christian Albums chart upon its release.
“When it came my time to speak, I walked up on the stage and stood looking at my wife’s sweet picture … and words were not enough to let her know how much she meant to me – how much she still means to me”, Rory also wrote.
Feek’s blog posting about his wife’s service on their farm included photos of family and friends in attendance, her coffin being lowered into the ground and images of him and their daughter in visiting her grave. “The last time we were on that stage, was in early October and Joey and I were singing together. It was so lovely, set to the song “After You’re Gone” by Iris Dement… a song that Joey loved and requested be played at her service”.

Hundreds of friends, family and fans came together to remember Joey Feek at a public memorial service over the weekend. She ” ll always be with us.
Even just before her death, Joey Feek knew that she and her husband had been given that great story.
“I loved Joey, her spirit and soul, and she loved all of you”.
“This is such a special place, with special people, for us all to be in today”, Rory somberly said, as the crowd grew silent. “I want to thank this community for what God has done with it. God has showed us the way, and Joey was a handsome child of God”.
“I would like to thank this little town of Alexandria, Ind. Joey’s town”.
“At the gravesite, Mike Glenn – our pastor in Tennessee, spoke of the better place that Joey’s in and also of the better place that the world is because Joey was in it”, Rory continued.

Near the end of his remarks, Feek asked for his wife’s high school varsity letter jacket and put it on over his overalls. With her, he saw what real love looks like.
