Loibl fatally opened fire on himself after Christina Grimmie’s brother, Marcus Grimmie, tackled him.

Law enforcement officials are searching the suspect’s phone, computer, home and vehicle, and they say they hope these might point to a motive for the attack.

Reportedly there are security measures in place at the theater, but no metal detectors are present and concert attendees are not, reportedly, patted down on entry.

Recording artist Selena Gomez paid tribute at her Saturday show to her longtime friend, singer Christina Grimmie, who was gunned down in Orlando Friday night.

“She was doing a meet-and-greet, just signing autographs and selling merchandise”, he said.

Grimmie was a finalist on NBC’s “The Voice” in 2014, finishing third during Season 6 of the show.

Grimmie had posted a video of herself shortly before the concert was scheduled to begin, encouraging fans to come and see her perform. Conflicting reports about the singer’s condition have been making the rounds of social media, but no further information about the shooting has been made available at this time. The police chief wouldn’t elaborate further.
