Single Sign-on Missing from tvOS 10 Update
Designed for the fourth-generation Apple TV, tvOS 10 was released on Tuesday along with iOS 10 and watchOS 3. With the release of the new Apple TV operating system, users can enjoy new features and improved implementations that will make TV viewing more seamless and enjoyable. The new Memories feature from iOS 10’s Photos app also makes its way to the big screen in the new update and you can automatically choose to have Apple TV automatically download any apps you’ve installed on your iPhone.

Unfortunately, the best part of that update – the single sign-on for pay TV subscribers – has been delayed until later this spring. What we aren’t getting is single sign-on support-a feature promised earlier this year at Apple’s annual developer conference.
tvOS 10 brings iOS’ updated Music app to the Apple TV.
The update begins to refine the interface and round out the features that Apple introduced on the new Apple TV last October. First, you can control any HomeKit connected devices like lights or thermostats using the Siri Remote. The feature, which was announced at WWDC, lets you sign in to multiple Apple TV apps that use your cable subscription credentials with just one login. They’re also customizable too so it’s fun to play around with before you share with others on the TV screen.
Siri can search a lot of channels on tvOS at the same time, but YouTube is harder to catalog than iTunes or Netflix. tvOS 10 solves this problem by treating YouTube a little different from other channels. We’ve asked Apple for more information and will update if a response is provided.
