By Wednesday afternoon, a 17-foot wide and 20-foot deep sinkhole had formed in exactly the same place where a man was swallowed by the earth in while sleeping 2013.

No one was injured and no nearby homes have been evacuated. He fell into the hole and died; his body was never recovered, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Bush, 36, was asleep in bed around 11 p.m. Feb. 28, 2013, when the ground opened up beneath his home and swallowed him, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Larry McKinnon said at the time.

Officials say recent heavy rains likely contributed to the hole’s reopening.

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Deputy Douglas Duvall burst into the house, saw his brother Jeremy Bush struggling and pulled him out.

The home, along with two houses on either side, were demolished, and the hole reopened on what is now vacant land. And folks said the fact that the ground opened again made them nervous.

Officials have not said what steps they are taking, if any, to fill the sinkhole after it opened for the second time.
