Tess Daly has revealed “Strictly Come Dancing” contestants who are gripped by stage fright will be offered two chances to perform on that night’s show or face elimination. The veteran presenter had a minor concussion and was taken to hospital, where he given doctors’ orders to rest for seven days.

Last week, he was forced to pull out of presenting a BBC variety show after slipping and falling at his home.

Sir Bruce Forsyth has said he’s looking forward to returning to Strictly Come Dancing’s Christmas special.

Stars of Call the Midwife Jenny Agutter, Laura Main, Stephen McGann and Jack Ashton will all strut their stuff for charity, fighting to win the Pudsey Glitter Ball trophy. Shane Filan and Nadine Coyle will perform their duet I Could Be for the first time on United Kingdom television.

The annual fundraising night will also see the show take a trip to EastEnders to visit The Queen Vic where Shane Richie, who plays Alfie Moon, will play host to a house band with a special guest lead vocalist.

Sir Terry Wogan will be joined by Strictly’s Daly, Fearne Cotton, Rochelle Humes and Nick Grimshaw for BBC Children In Need on Friday November 13.

Speaking earlier this year, Sir Bruce told candidly how Strictly turned out to be nothing like the show he had signed up for despite sticking with it for a decade.

‘I get butterflies – Bruce [Forsyth] used to get butterflies.

“So it’s hard to say goodbye, of course it is”.

“I don’t miss doing Strictly, it was never the show I thought it would be”, he confessed. “I would have hated to have carried on and then had to stop because I wasn’t feeling well enough”.
