Sir Tom Jones ‘doesn’t give a f**k’ about show

“I said ‘She doesn’t want to go out anymore because she doesn’t like the way she looks.’ But the way they put it is like she doesn’t look like she did and I carry a young picture of her because I don’t want to think about her. It’s not that”. Jones, who had been with the show since it launched in 2012, was not asked back for next year’s series.

He complained at the time about being given the chop: “Shocked and disappointed about The Voice UK”. No idea, no conversation, no warning.

Don’t worry, Tom. We still love you.

The 75-year-old Welsh singer spoke about his anger at the broadcaster for the manner in which he was treated and said that he didn’t “give a f**k” after the news of the axing was broken to him.

“I’ve realised she’s had a depression since she was young”, Sir Tom told the Sunday Times Magazine, ahead of the release of his autobiography this week. “I’m a big fan of his, I think he’s a gentleman and an extraordinary figure in music and you’ll have seen the huge respect all the artists on The Voice have had for him throughout”.

SIR TOM JONES has accused the BBC of being run by “a machine ” and losing its ability to identify what will entertain the public.

Tom has been replaced by Culture Club singer Boy George for the upcoming fifth season, which is due to air in January (16) with returning judges will.i.am and Kaiser Chiefs rocker Ricky Wilson.

It was reported that a devastated Tom turned to new judge Paloma seeking advice from her. The 34-year-old told the Daily Mirror that Tom was “very upset” by the way he had been treated but thought he would not “lose too much sleep over it”.
