Siri saves teen after truck collapses on him

But as Siri recently proved, even fake humans can sometimes save lives.

Sam Ray was working beneath a almost 5,000 pound truck when it fell on top of him, trapping his arm.

He has begun to give up hope when he suddenly heard the sound of Siri activating in his back pocket.

According to USA Today, he tried several times to call 911 through Siri since his phone was in his back pocket, where he couldn’t reach. “But he was yelling his address, and that was the best thing he could have done”. At least that seems to be the takeaway from a recent heroic effort by Siri that probably saved the life of a 18-year-old man in Mufreesboro, Tennessee, WZTV Fox 17 reports.

At first, Rutherford County dispatcher Christina Lee believed she was hearing an inadvertent a butt dial.

“When I heard a woman talking from inside my pocket, I just started shouting”, Sam added.

When the jack failed under the weight of the supersized American vehicle, Sam was trapped for nearly 40 minutes.

Also, in January, Tim Rutledge, a truck driver in Orlando, Florida was pinned under his truck in the icy weather while he was trying to fix the brakes.

“To survive and to be able to walk out, I have a great family and friends that are willing to pray and a God that will help me”, Ray said.

Ray was connected to a dispatcher and later taken for treatment by emergency responders.

Dusty Ray, Sam’s father, recalled getting a phone call from his son and telling him not to work under the auto when no one was at home.

Flight nurse Kirk Krokosky said: “He could have been there for hours, but as fate would have it, Siri was sort of his guardian angel”.

Doctors now expect Sam to make a full recovery. “I owe them that”.
