Siri will soon let you dictate your passwords on Apple TV

Apple released the third beta version of the tvOS 9.2 last month, which allowed developers to try out several new features for the Apple TV operating system. The update also links Apple TV with iCloud photo library and Live Photos – short video clips recorded before and after taking a photo – when before it could access Photo Stream images that eventually expire.

Typing text on Apple TV using on-screen keyboard was annoying for many users, but now thanks to the new update users can give out instructions with Siri’s help. If you wanted to enter text into a search field or user login and password field you were stuck doing so using tvOS’s horizontal keyboard.

An update in December let people to use the Remote app for iPhones and iPads to type, but dictation with Siri was still missing.

For iPhone 6s and 6s Plus users, 3D Touch is being expanded to more core iOS apps. Just tap the mic key on your Siri Remote and then try an instruction like searching in App Store for movies in order to dive into that application’s record to see where you could set it up.

Finally, if you own an Apple TV there’s some new upgrades coming to your telly. With usernames and passwords you can say your password by spelling it out. From here, new folders can be created or apps can be moved directly into an existing folder.

This is particularly useful for people who have dozens of apps and games but who also want their Home Screen to be organized.
