Sissoko delighted to join ‘big team’

The 27-year-old midfielder was powerless to stop Newcastle United’s slide into the Championship in 2015/16, yet, despite an unimpressive season on Tyneside, found himself one of the star performers in France’s Euro 2016 campaign.
Everton signed eight first-team players over the course of the summer, including a deal worth up to £30m to take DR Congo worldwide winger Yannick Bolasie from Crystal Palace.
The midfielder seemed delighted after joining the club.
He had earlier been given permission to leave France’s training camp at Clairefontaine, near Paris, in order to complete his transfer.
“When you’re that good you’ve got to be able to do something out of the ordinary to get your team out of it as that’s what top players do”.
Sissoko was one of three Tottenham signings on deadline day after he joined his countryman Georges-Kevin Nkoudou and goalkeeper Pau Lopez. “Today I’m happy and he’s happy because we will play together in the Premier League”. But when I bought into Everton, I made it clear I was proud to join a family.’ Moshiri told Sky Sports broadcaster Jim White. Everyone knows, I have often said when I was young, my heart was with Arsenal, because there were a lot of French players that have been there as Thierry Henry, Robert Pires, Sylvain Wiltord, Patrick Vieira who was my idol … I have the chance now with Tottenham so I’m looking forward and I hope we will do well in the Premier League and in the Champions League also.
Paul Merson believes that Tottenham did not do enough in the summer transfer window to build on their success last season.

“He is very powerful and I think he is a different profile of player for us, so he will give us another option offensively”, Lloris told the club’s official website. “We wish Sissoko the best”.
