Kobe Bryant has always had an affinity for his high school, Lower Merion, and the community feels the same way about him.

At least for the prodigal son.

For much of his professional career, Kobe Bryant has been with the L.A. Lakers, and last Sunday he has announced his retirement through a poem in The Players’ Tribune.

After that, the night unraveled.

Spurred by 13 first quarter points from Bryant, the Lakers lead the Sixers midway through the second quarter.

As the Chicago Bulls get ready to take on the Denver Nuggets on the road Wednesday night at 8 p.m. Eastern, Kobe Bryant is one step closer to hanging up his shoes forever.

First stop on the Kobe Bryant Farewell Tour is his hometown Philadelphia 76ers.

“It’s going to be lovely”, Bryant said at his postgame presser on November 29. “I was really lucky in my career to have great coaches”.

They had already set a record for the longest losing streak in the history of the National Basketball Association, with 28 defeats stretching over last season and the current campaign.

“I know the world wanted to see it”, James said. Easy. You just have to connect on 18 of 31 shots, nail four three-pointers, and make 22 of 25 free throw attempts. And I knew he was great.

“Hope you can live a little bit more”.

“I’m just sitting there playing possum because I knew my legs ain’t going to carry this energy for 48 minutes”, Bryant said.

Robert Covington led Philadelphia with 23 points, and center Jerami Grant and Nerlens Noel had 14 each. Olson XOMA Wall… all one of these is like a man in all was much worse than store bought always a chore was a lot of these will… never get to… you know on… “You guys treated one of our legends like s-, and I didn’t really like it. So hopefully now you can start being nice to him now that he made a decision to retire after this year”.

Laker’s coach Byron Scott said in a postgame presser last Sunday that his goal for Kobe is to finish the season and walk off the court after his last game on his own two feet.

Against the Nets, Bryant finished the game with 18 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists.

That’s exactly what Detroit Lions cornerback Darius Slay plans to do when the Los Angeles Lakers invade the Palace of Auburn Hills this Sunday in what will likely be Kobe Bryant’s final game against the Detroit Pistons.

He said it would be “an honor” to remain involved with the Lakers organization in some capacity. “And finally, I just had to accept the fact that I don’t want to do this any more”, Bryant said.
