Sixers’ schedule devoid of network appearances

The Celtics will then host the Nets and Knicks at the TD Garden on Monday, Oct, 19 and Thursday, October 22. The Celtics open the season with three straight home games, welcoming the Toronto Raptors to town on October 30 and the San Antonio Spurs on November 1. The news schedule has only 27 instances in which any team would play four games in five nights, down from 70 last season.

Early in the season, they have a stretch in which they play 18 of 24 games on the road (from November 20 to January 2), including two separate six-game road trips. From trading for David Lee and Zoran Dragic to signing Amir Johnson, the Celtics have quietly become a force to be reckoned with in the Easter Conference and they’re heading into this season with a hunger to prove it.

Saturday, January 30 vs. Golden State at 5 p.m.: The reigning National Basketball Association Champion Warriors and MVP Steph Curry make their only appearance in their franchise’s former home city.

For the Boston Celtics, this season is going to hopefully be a step above what they were able to accomplish last season.

The Boston Celtics also announced their pre-season schedule today.

Boston will play against the Sacremento Kings and former team captain Rajon Rondo in Mexico City on December 3rd.

This game could mark the final game for Kevin Garnett at the TD Garden as he comes in with a young and improved Minnesota Timberwolves team.

December. 30 vs Los Angeles Lakers: One of the league’s best rivalries may have lost some of its luster with LA tanking their way to the bottom, but a visit from the Lakers is always noteworthy.

On February, 10 the Kings come to Philadelphia which will give Nik Stauskas a look at the team that traded him to the Sixers after not giving him many opportunities in his rookie season.

The Celtics will battle the LA Clippers at the TD Garden on February 10 and in the process will welcome back both Paul Pierce and Doc Rivers.
