Sixers snap losing streak, defeat Lakers in Kobe Bryant’s Philadelphia finale

This entire season has been a struggle for the retiring superstar but Bryant’s last four games have been particularly alarming.

After it all, he got a raucous ovation from a highly-appreciative hometown crowd. Julius Randle also posted a monster double-double for Los Angeles with 15 points and 19 rebounds on the night.

That’s exactly what took place when the public address announcer called Bryant’s name last among Lakers starters.

Scott said some of Bryant’s shots were “ill-advised”. “I don’t know what to say no more, too much negativity, atmosphere and it’s starting to bother us, starting to get to all of us”. Nonetheless he was the best performing player for his team as he top scored for the Lakers, producing 20 points, two assists and five rebounds.

“Obviously there was so much made about it, from commercials to media talk, to people just talking about the Lakers versus the Cavs, Kobe versus LeBron, Kobe versus LeBron, Kobe versus LeBron, but I couldn’t do that to my teammates to kind of assume”, James said.

Bryant posted 12 fourth-quarter points, shouldering the Lakers another time and putting a temporary halt to the less-than flattering discourse that has followed his high-volume, sometimes frustrating shot selection this season. “It felt good to go down memory lane a little bit”. It’s a lot of money to pay a coach in charge of a team that is on pace for an 11-71 record.

NOTES: Lakers C Roy Hibbert, Sixers G JaKarr Sampson and Philadelphia F Jerami Grant were all assessed technical fouls after a shoving match with 6:54 left in the third quarter, which began with Sixers G Isaiah Canaan fouling Hibbert…. “All of this stuff right now is still fluid”.

“I believe in players who have a positive attitude to play”.

Covington was also delighted, saying: “This feels good”.

It must be noted here that the Philadelphia 76ers fans had started forgetting the fact that their team could ever win.

Noel returned to action after missing the last two games because of some knee soreness and an illness.
