The police have claimed that the late student was a criminal involved in street crimes.
Mother of the accused told Samaa that her son Zakaria returned a few days ago from Malaysia, where she said he was studying.
The family claims that Zakariya had returned from Malaysia for his winter break and his wedding and had gone to withdraw money from the ATM which had been sent from his friend in Malaysia.
Police allegedly killed an innocent youth of Lyari in a fake encounter in Gizri.
The Police maintains that the encounter was authentic and the accused had opened fire upon the police party.
The family said Zakariya was a student.
Meanwhile, speaking to Geo News DIG South Dr. Jameel Ahmed claimed that the police party chased the culprits who then fell off their motorbike and tried to escape on foot.
