Gorman, 64, struck the three pedestrians, all freshmen, while they were walking on a road near campus around 11:19 p.m., according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department.

The driver of the auto has been arrested on charges including vehicular assault and driving while intoxicated. The paper said there were not sidewalks on the street where the students were hit. The sheriff’s office also did not release other information about the investigation, such as Gorman’s blood alcohol content at the time of the crash. He was arraigned in the town of Greenfield court and has been sent to the Saratoga County Jail.
