Skip Bayless Blasts Trent Dilfer’s “Plantation Mentality”, Praises Colin Kaepernick

“Oh, no question. I truly believe it will”, Oladipo told Russ Bengtson of Complex Sports.

“Whatever you believe, believe in to the utmost”. I can understand why some fans, especially ones with friends and relatives in the military, are angry at Kaepernick. “And so, that’s not the way that I would do it, but I support him in his attempt to start a conversation or continue the conversation”.

“I think definitely, we’ll see a few guys in the National Basketball Association doing the same thing”, he said.

Given the anti-violence opening monologue delivered by National Basketball Association stars in this year’s ESPY Awards-as well as recent shooting of Chicago Bulls player Dwyane Wade’s cousin-expect for calls to action involving issues like gun violence and police brutality to become more prominent in the National Basketball Association.

One day after former Baltimore Ravens quarterback and current ESPN analyst Trent Dilfer said Colin Kaepernick should be quiet because he is a backup quarterback, Kaepernick fired back and called Dilfer’s words “ridiculous”.

Of course, when you search his name on Google, his refusal to sit during the national anthem is among the top three organic search results (and 60% of all clicks go to those top three results).

The United States is a great country. I think I am telling it the way a lot of people think. The 49ers QB responded during his postgame comments Monday, saying that Dilfer’s remark was “one of the most ridiculous comments I’ve heard”.

You see, kids (imagine Chef’s voice here), by giving everyone permission to do whatever they want during the Anthem, you diffuse the entire controversy. “I feel like everyone should stand up for what they believe”.

While the momentum is really strong in the National Football League, the college game has not seen the amount of displays yet. That right is so important that the First Amendment of the United States Constitution says, “Congress shall make no law. abridging the freedom of speech”. For me, if I’m the coach, I would say, ‘You’re done. Several other players raised their fists during the playing of the anthem.

I give credit to the U.S. hockey Coach, John Tortorella who told ESPN’s Linda Cohn, “If any of my players sit on the bench for the national anthem, they will sit there the rest of the game”.
