Skrtel yet to decide on his future despite Fenerbahce bid
Skrtel has been with Liverpool for eight years, having signed for them from Zenit St Petersburg in 2008. Given Liverpool had previously been rumoured to be seeking closer to £8M for Skrtel, it seemed a case of accepting a bid below the odds to allow a long-time servant to get the move he wanted.

Fenerbahce are closing in on the signing of Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel, Sky sources understand.
The Slovakian global, who captained his country to a first ever win at the European Championships as they beat Russian Federation 2-1 atEuro 2016 on Wednesday, has been made aware that he has no future in the side under Klopp.
The club have reportedly agreed a £5.5million offer from Turkish side Fenerbahce the defender, as agent Mithat Halis is said to be negotiating personal terms with the Turkish side.
The 31-year-old centre-back dropped down the pecking order following the appointment of Jurgen Klopp last season and is keen to take on a new challenge in order to secure regular first-team football.
The Slovakia global is likely to find it hard to get regular game time at Anfield next season with Joel Matip joining the ranks from Schalke.
