iPhone and iPad users can now download Skype for Business, which Microsoft has rolled out to iOS devices.
The contact search bar lets you find contacts by first name, last name, email alias, or even a phone number. The new app promises to simplify navigation and to resolve the sign-in problems of Lync 2013 on iOS 9.
Intel has recently launched a new solution for cross-platform development: the Multi-OS Engine, which enables you to use the same Java codebase to create Android and – wait for it – iOS apps. The user can also now easily glance at their upcoming appointments with a simply tap on the left for the meeting details or on the icon on the right to join immediately. The application offers full-screen video feature, larger buttons that allows users to mute a call, as well as the ability to add participants and manage calls much easier while on the go. IT admins can head over to the Skype for Business iOS productivity guide. You can simultaneously view shared content and speaker’s video through the app. Microsoft says a future update will include the ability to view and share PowerPoint slides.
Last but not least, Microsoft confirmed that Skype for Business iOS is now available as a Universal app in the iTunes Store. IT administrators have the option to set up multi-factor authentication, which would require users to receive a call, text message, or app notification after entering their username and password.

Microsoft announced this morning that Skype for Business iOS is now available as a new universal app in the iTunes Store. iPhone users will get the upgrade from Lync 2013 automatically, but iPad users will need to download the new app manually from the store. Office 365 commercial customers can now use Active Directory Authentication Library (ADAL)-based authentication, multi-factor authentication, and ADAL-based authentication.
