Eisenhauer was allegedly traced through Lovell’s computer and placed under arrest. Natalie Keepers, 18, a Laurel resident accused of helping dispose of the girl’s body, was arrested on Sunday.

The 13-year-old’s autopsy was scheduled for Monday to determine a manner of death.

AP/Blacksburg Police Department Virginia Tech students David Eisenhauer and Natalie Keepers have been charged for Nicole Lovell’s disappearance and death. Nicole often cried at the thought of going to school, so Weeks said she often let Nicole stay home. Hours later, the teen’s body was found 80 miles away in North Carolina.

18-year-old David Eisenhauer is charged with felony abduction, which occurred on or about January 27, 2016 and first degree murder, which occurred on or about January 30, 2016, according to arrest warrants.

Mr. Eisenhauer and Ms. Keepers were being held without bond at a jail in Montgomery County, Va., with no date set yet for their first court appearances.

Keepers interned at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, led science experiments at her church’s Bible school and hoped to build a future in aerospace or ocean engineering, her online resume said.

“Eisenhauer used this relationship to his advantage to abduct the 13-year-old and then kill her. Keepers helped Eisenhauer dispose of Nicole’s body”, a Blacksburg police statement said.

State police divers have been searching a pond on campus, but authorities would not say what they were looking for. Two who spoke to CNN said – one of them in Spanish – they did not know the girl.

“We had no reason to think he would be unsuccessful in his goals, because he was very focused”, said Principal James LeMon at Wilde Lake High School, where Eisenhauer graduated past year. Her body was found near the Virginia-North Carolina border. I’m so in shock I know nothing more to say. “I’m hurt. It’s unbelievable”. She survived a liver transplant, MRSA (a drug-resistant staph infection) and lymphoma when she was 5, Weeks said. “Nothing has been completely confirmed of her involvement and maybe this could be some kind of mistake”.

Intensifying questions as to how Nicole met her death, police said Lovell was not shot, although they declind to release a cause of death, according to the Associated Press. “I would have told her mother”. Nicole’s family said they discovered Wednesday morning that she had apparently blocked her bedroom door with furniture and climbed out a window overnight.

Nicole’s mother said she was heartbroken that he girl who had endured such hardship would end up being preyed upon by the suspect.

The search continues for a missing Blacksburg Middle School student.

Rose Mooney directed the aerial search of the drones. Eisenhauer is charged with murder and kidnapping in the death of Nicole Madison Lovell. His profile on the school’s sports site was removed after the charges were announced.
