Slams ‘Reckless Radical’s’ Business Plan — Bloomberg’s Trump Takedown
“I built a business and I didn’t start it with a million-dollar check from my father”, a reference to Trump’s start in the real estate business with money from his father.

Bloomberg says at the Democratic National Convention that the country must unite around Clinton because she can “defeat a unsafe demagogue”.
“Most of us who have created a business know that we’re only as good as the way our employees, clients and partners view us”, Bloomberg explained.
At the convention as a self-proclaimed outsider to voice his support for Hillary Clinton, Bloomberg was also likely aiming to galvanize the disappointed “Bernie or Bust” voters into rallying behind the democratic nominee, calling for them to elect a “sane, competent person, with worldwide experience, a unifier who is mature enough to reach out for advice”.
“We don’t need a bomb thrower”, he added.
Michael Bloomberg urged Independents to vote for Hillary Clinton, saying Donald Trump was a “risky, reckless and radical choice”.
As BuzzFeed’s Andrew Kaczynski pointed out on Twitter, Trump’s attitude on Bloomberg’s final term has changed pretty substantially of late. “No candidate is. But she is the right choice and the responsible choice in this election”.
“As one of America’s business leaders, Bloomberg has become increasingly concerned about what a Trump presidency would mean for our economy”.
But Bloomberg, a media mogul, won the crowd over with a series of zingers and one-liners directed at his fellow New Yorker.
“As the race stands now, with Republicans in charge of both Houses, there is a good chance that my candidacy could lead to the election of Donald Trump or Senator Ted Cruz”.
Bloomberg’s appearance was unusual at this convention, coming from a former Democrat who was less than full-throated in his Clinton endorsement. He slammed the candidate for promising to punish companies for outsourcing jobs while making his company’s clothes overseas; for working around the visa system to hire temporary foreign workers at low wages; for promising to deport 11 million undocumented people but hiring them to work on his own projects. Trump has stated on many occasions that being President of the United States will not be so different from running a business. What did I miss here?
“Credit the Bloomberg administration for having the foresight and courage to get this decades long project finished – will be BIG for NY”, Trump also tweeted in September of that year.
