Slaven Bilic frustrated by late Chelsea defeat

Speculation has intensified after Fabregas was named among the substitutes in Chelsea’s Premier League season-opening 2-1 win over West Ham on Monday.

Former Barcelona star Fabregas has been linked with a move Madrid following Antonio Conte’s appointment at Stamford Bridge but Zidane says buying the Spaniard would unsettle his squad.

Spanish outlet Sport claimed recently that Chelsea are looking to sign Real’s Colombian ace James Rodriguez and are prepared to spend £78m on the 25-year-old midfield ace.

Juventus have considered making a bid for Fabregas following the departure of Paul Pogba to Manchester United for £89m.

“I saw that incident again, I don’t think it was reckless”, said Bilic of Costa’s challenge on Adrian.

“He will have a scan and we have to wait for the result of the scan to know how long he will be out”.

“That can happen that Fabregas is not in the starting XI, but it can happen for all the players”.

“Cesc is Chelsea’s player, and I’m happy about him, with his attitude and behaviour”, said Conte.

“Now I took this decision but the next game I can change or not”. A mere three days ago, this would have been an absolutely foolish prediction. Italian Conte remarked. “Good spirit!”

But Cuadrado has made it clear he prefers to play in Serie A and didn’t even start a game in pre-season.

West Ham clawed its way back into match following the 67th-minute introduction of midfielder Dimitri Payet, who was on the bench due to lack of match fitness after having been granted extended leave by Bilic following his impressive performance for France at the European Championship.

Antonio lost the ball to Cesar Azpilicueta and brought him down in the penalty area.

AC Milan were also in the hunt for the 28-year-old, but they have now filled up their non-EU quota following the arrival of Argentine Jose Ernesto Sosa yesterday.
