Chelsea were the Premier League’s sole success in the Champions League this week, winning 4-0 at home to Maccabi Tel Aviv.
“But I don’t just have lambs for players”.
“Wednesday for Arsenal, you can lose in Zagreb”.
But former Chelsea midfielder Deschamps, who is building a squad to win next summer’s Euro 2016 in France, responded on RMC radio: “It doesn’t bother me, players say what they like”. They are a decent team, unbeaten in 41 games or whatever. Nikica Jelavic and Michael Antonio have yet to represent the club but will have significant roles to play, while they also have four high-profile loanees to inflate the annual wage bill for the season to around £70m.
“We have also got a good team and when you look at our first three away games, to already have six points is exciting”.
“Like last season when Besiktas knocked out Liverpool”.
Aguero was reduced to the role of an 83rd-minute substitute in City’s 2-1 Champions League defeat to Juventus on Tuesday because of a knee problem.
“A little surprise but we were hoping for that and planning for that, to be fair”, he said.
“I’m not talking about the size of the clubs, maybe not even the quality of the teams”, added Bilic, “but the way Man City have played their opening five games”.
“And the great thing now is when we are approaching the game against manchester City we don’t have to go back like two years for inspiration when we’re talking before the game”.
