Hillary Clinton cast herself Monday as the most qualified to combat terrorism in the USA after a weekend of violent attacks in three states.
Trump claimed that Clinton’s attack on him is an attempt to deflect her failure.
Clinton’s 5-point advantage is wider than other recent polls out of the state, including a CNN/ORC survey released last week that found Trump up by 3, within the poll’s 3.5 percentage point margin of error.
Hillary Clinton accused Donald Trump on Monday of imperiling US national security with his campaign rhetoric, as Trump called for police profiling of people from the Muslim world in the aftermath of bombings in NY and New Jersey.
The first African-American U.S. President then told the group of donors why he thought a woman had never held the office. Or are we going to be, as I know we can, stronger together?
George Basile, 20, a junior at Temple, said he supports Clinton because of her knowledge and experience, and thinks that if she can make the case to young voters that they can’t afford to allow Trump to be president, they’ll support her in November.
She spoke to reporters on Monday on the tarmac at an airport in White Plains, N.Y., addressing the recent bombings in NY and New Jersey and the stabbings in Minnesota.
Hillary Clinton reacted to the weekend’s attacks by saying that they were a “sobering reminder that we need steady leadership in a unsafe world”.
“It’s going to get worse under this administration and with Hillary Clinton”.
She was to meet with the leaders of Egypt, Ukraine and Japan late in the day in New York City.

While both candidates are disliked, Trump’s unfavorable ratings are significantly higher than Clinton’s. She added, “Let’s remember what happened on 9/11”. Trump and his allies spent Sunday – repeatedly and falsely – accusing Clinton of pushing the idea that President Barack Obama was not born in the USA – a conspiracy theory long championed by Trump himself.
