Sling TV to Launch NFL Network, Red Zone
During the regular season, NFL Network will deliver exclusive Thursday Night Football games, popular shows such as NFL GameDay Morning, A Football Life, and TIMELINE, and the new morning show, Good Morning Football, which airs live each weekday morning from New York City.

“These networks will give DISH and Sling TV customers the inside look at a favorite American pastime as we approach the National Football League season”, said Warren Schlichting, DISH’s executive vice president of programming.
In a recent conference call, Dish CEO Charlie Ergen had said he was hopeful that the companies would come to an agreement. “It’s not dollars and cents”, Ergen said.
TheStreet Ratings rates Dish Network as a Buy with a ratings score of B. This is driven by multiple strengths, which the team believes should have a greater impact than any weaknesses, and should give investors a better performance opportunity than most stocks that the team covers. “This represents the first time in NFL Network’s 13-year history that one of its service providers has not continued to offer the network to its subscribers”, the NFL said in a statement at the time.
On the Tribune front, Dish’s proposal to resolve their dispute via arbitration was nixed by the station group, which countered with a proposal to let FCC chairman Tom Wheeler’s office monitor the discussions with daily joint calls.

Dish says it objects to Tribune’s “significant price increases” for its stations and says Tribune wants to “force bundle” them with WGNA – which the satellite distributor calls “an unrelated and low-performing cable channel”. Also like most of these disputes, Dish customers will likely see a rate hike to help pay for the higher cost of programming.
