Small door falls from passenger plane flying over NC

The door covers a hydraulic servicing area under the wing, and AA officials say there was not a flight safety issue.

– The Federal Aviation Administration says a small panel door fell from an American Airlines Airbus 321 and landed on a North Carolina golf course.

It was dislodged from American Airlines Flight 1910 as the plane approached Charlotte Douglas global Airport, according to the FAA. It happened around 8:20 a.m. Wednesday morning.

A golf course employee said that US Airways arrived and retrieved the piece before the FAA arrived on scene to investigate.

“American Airlines Flight 1910, operated by US Airways, from Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) to Charlotte (CLT) lost a small panel door prior to landing in CLT”.

According to WSOCTV.com, The door fell off an American Airlines Flight 1910 from Dallas that was landing at Charlotte Douglas Airport.

An airline spokeswoman said no one was injured.

“The FAA says it is investigating.he green”, he said.
