Small earthquake widely felt across San Francisco Bay area

The 3.5 magnitude natural disaster had an estimated 2.8 mile depth hit at 12:40 a.m. on Tuesday and was centered approximately two miles east-southeast of Piedmont on the Hayward Fault. The massive quake injured residents and damaged businesses.

One person said that her friends felt the ground shaking as faraway as San Francisco.

Molly Stanley Wolter wrote she felt the natural disaster about 45 miles away. Meanwhile my chihuahua slept soundly, snoring.

“Fruitvale resident Rose Aveey says that her “Cats looked at me like I had something to do with it”.

“Was falling off when it hit”, she wrote. “Other half was snoring, I tried to wake him up, but I doubt he’ll even remember any part tomorrow”.

Jade Hernandez wrote on Facebook that she was binge-watching Stranger Things when she felt it.

The quake was strongly felt in nearby communities.
