Tupelo spokesperson Leesha Faulkner said Green confirmed the victims through relatives who had a flight manifest but will still be relying on “biological identification”. She says they’re waiting on biological confirmation through dental records.

The plane left Kerrville on Sunday.

Details on what caused the plane to crash and identities of those onboard have yet to be released, as officials with the Federal Aviation Administration began their investigation into the incident late Monday.

During a press briefing, an NTSB investigator said eyewitnesses reported seeing debris fall from the plane as it took off. That debris from the exhaust was recovered and is part of the investigation.

The pilot and three passengers were killed, Tupelo Police Chief Bart Aguirre said.

The Texas Wing of the Civil Air Patrol said Jackson and Groggel had been members of the volunteer group, which flies search-and-rescue and other emergency missions, since 1987.
