Smaller Apple iPhone expected at live event next week

If you’re not into the Apple Pencil, a brighter display or four speakers, sources also claim the iPad Air 2 will stick around – but won’t get a price drop. It now looks like we’ll see a smaller iPad Pro that’s priced at $100 more than the iPad Air 2, placing it at $599.

However, not everyone likes the bulky formfactor necessitated by the 12.9-inch display in the iPad Pro. This seems to be much better than the iPhone 5c model which came with an inbuilt storage of 8GB at launch. The new iPhone will reportedly include the same A9 processor found in the iPhone 6s, support for Apple Pay, improved Wi-Fi and cellular components, and a 12-megapixel camera capable of recording 4K video.

Even with new features, analysts say the 4-inch iPhone should sell at a lower price than the larger models, which list at $549 or more. A web page set up for the event, via which Apple will be live streaming, sports the tag line “Let us loop you in“. These will come at the WWDC 2016 likely scheduled for June.

These being rumors, it can not be confirmed whether Apple is really working on releasing an iPhone SE with these specs. Apple often starts selling a new iPhone or iPad on a Friday. On the other hand, if the new Pro comes in at $599, than Apple might leave the Air 2 at its current price. That will make it the priciest iPad of its size, ever.

One of the most prominent names in the world of technology, Apple has been innovating their offerings for quite a long time now.

We continue to see Apple offer a way for buyers to watch product announcements at major events like this.

There is also a good chance the new iPad will include Apple’s “smart connector” enabling it to work with Apple’s smart keyboard so users could use the iPad as a replacement for their laptop.

However, the Apple Watch 2 is unlikely to be announced on the event.
