Smarter Enemies Mean Trouble in Gears of War 4 Trailer
While Microsoft’s Xbox Fanfest at Gamescom 2016 won’t kick off until tomorrow August 17, the Xbox team has premiered today new gameplay trailers for Gears of War 4 and Recore. The video, in which attractive, chatty people shoot at things, does look very nice at that sweet 2160p resolution, but you’ll need some serious muscle to make that happen on your PC. “We have developed the authorship of our content in 4K, allowing us to offer the highest quality textures and resolutions categories of graphics cards higher level”, he says.

While Xbox users will be waiting for Scorpio to play in 4K, PC users with the right equipment will be able to enjoy the to-shelf resolution on day one, October 11. “We can do it all in a way that let us play through Xbox Live as a single platform, without compromising the outcome of each game and squeezing the power of each platform no matter what console or computer you are playing each user”.
Coalition technical director Mike Rayner confirmed last month that Gears 4 will support 4K textures on the PC, along with ultra-wide monitors and unlocked frame rates.
