Speaking to Sky News, Mr Corbyn refuted the claims: “I wish some of my colleagues would concentrate on political issues”, the Labour leader said.

Leicester East MP Keith Vaz – also on the NEC – is reported to have said he will give Mr Corbyn his support if he asks for it.
In the interview, Mr McGinn accused left-wing politicians of “sneering” at the public, adding that Labour is losing touch with the working classes.
“I don’t do any abuse, I don’t do any bullying”.
All but essential constituency and branch meetings across the country have been banned by Labour’s National Executive Committee for the duration of the leadership contest, but meetings, such as this one, organised informally by supporters of Jeremy Corbyn, are taking place across the country. You can make any number of ritual condemnations as you like but you have got to be judged by your actions, not just words.
Ms Eagle pledged to fight Mr Corbyn for the party leadership, but secured fewer nominations from MPs than fellow challenger Owen Smith so she dropped out of the race. I’m very surprised and actually very disappointed they should say that.
There were echoes of Margaret Thatcher, as Mrs May took Mr Corbyn to task after he said that “six years of Government austerity” had failed.
“It is a good thing that people come together and want to debate and be active in politics in our society, isn’t that good for democracy?”
It is hard to imagine anyone more removed from the values of Jeremy Corbyn than David Miliband and unless councillor Green wants a return to the failed policies of the New Labour project, I suggest she reviews her analysis of the present situation.
183,000 people have signed up in the last 48 hours to vote in the head-to-head battle, many of whom are suspected to be Corbyn-supporters.
The Labour angrily hit back, saying: “I know this is very amusing for Conservative members but I do not suppose (there are) too many Conservative MPs who have to go to a food bank in order to supplement their family table”.
Labour has been locked in a bitter power struggle since the 23 June Vote to leave the European Union, with critics of Corbyn saying he did not work hard enough to persuade the party’s voters to back remaining in the bloc.
“He needs to be held to account”.
Det Ch Insp Kenwright said: “The decision to cancel surgeries is not a police matter and would lie entirely with them”.
He said: “There has been intolerance in the Labour Party and abuse in the Labour party that we’ve never seen before”.
“Today, we are more than 45 years on from the Equal Pay Act, 40 years on from when I was chasing down lost pay for women workers and still, still, women are paid 20 per cent less than men.”
She said: “Both sides are doing it, but I think one side has been doing it more than the other”.

The row comes after former shadow cabinet minister Thangam Debbonaire said she was appointed and sacked from Corbyn’s top team during her cancer treatment.
