Smoking at public places banned in Beijing

Smoking at public indoor places such as offices, shopping malls and airports has been banned in Beijing.

And those who fails to follow the rule, will have to pay fines and even their name will be published online.

It has been reported that the airport main terminal will soon close the three smoking rooms provided for smokers.

Fines for those who violets the rules, is also increased to $30 from $2 (almost).

The World Health Organization says 300 million Chinese people smoke, including about half of all men, and 740 million in the country are exposed to second-hand smoke.
