Snap Inc., which is now a “camera company” launched its first hardware product Spectacles.

The video is recorded through a 115-degree-angle lens that more closely matches the eyes’ natural field of vision. CEO Evan Spiegel said. The device will roll out to the market gradually, so Snapchat can gauge market reception before taking the plunge.
As reported by the Wall Street Journal, Snapchat has developed its first hardware product, a pair of smart glasses that record 10-second bursts of video with just a tap, much like the company’s ephemeral app.
Another Google Glass? Not quite.
This could mean that the Spectacles are just an experiment or that they could end up somewhat like Google Glasses.
Spectacles are one-size-fits-all and are available in black, teal and coral.
What do you think about Spectacles? Instead, they’re a fun addition to Snapchat that allows you to free up your hands to pet a dog and avoid using your phone like “a wall in front of your face”, as Snap Inc.
Snapchat today makes two big announcements, the first of which is that it is no longer called Snapchat. We were walking through the woods, stepping over logs, looking up at the handsome trees.
As if sell the fashion community on the new product’s credibility, the WSJ article announcing the news ran with images of Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel wearing Spectacles, shot by iconic designer and photographer Karl Lagerfeld. In fact, Spiegel – who tested a prototype of the product as far back as early 2015 – claims he felt like he was experiencing a “memory” when watching the footage he recorded.

The video on Business Insider provides a little more detail on how the recording will work, with a circle of lights around the camera to flash to let people know they’re being recorded. “It was the closest I’d ever come to feeling like I was there again”, he added.
