Snapchat makes it much easier to find, add friends
Snapchat rolled out its latest update yesterday which brings in new features enabling users to easily find people to interact with. The company has quietly added a new feature in its most recent update: the ability to grab a personalized URL to send to friends who want to follow you, The Next Web reports. Users can even use the Add Nearby function to add another user near them.

Adding friends on Snapchat can be a pain in the arse: You have to open the app, pull down the menu bar to reveal your personalised Snapcode, have your friend open their Snapchat app, focus the camera on your (more than likely) smudged screen and have them take a photo. The option allows recipients to simply tap on the link from their smartphone to immediately add others to their approved list of Snapchatters. Once they click, you’re automatically added to their Snapchat add. When tapped, the prompt you to open the Snapchat app to see the profile that’s linked.
By making it easier to add others on Snapchat, the company has potentially increased its own reach.

This will allow you a number of options for sharing your Snapchat username URL from texting to email to Facebook and other methods of sharing information. The URL can be shared on Twitter bios and can be particularly handy for photographers. In the end, it is a win-win for both the app and its users.
