As part of its roll-out of a new $174 million partnership with MI that proves that sneaker wars are alive and well, Nike is going to give MI its very own color according to the Detroit Free-Press.

The entire line will be revealed in a week-long launch party that kicks off with a pep rally on July 31.
Among the activities ahead of the store opening at midnight, members of the Michigan Marching Band will be on hand, there will be a DJ and a number of guest appearances.
Nike will be sending out an “Air Jordan Trainer 1” Michigan-themed shoe on August 2. The unveiling will not be open to the public.
Michigan’s football and basketball programs will be outfitted by “Jumpman” Jordan Brand gear, while all other MI sports teams will be wearing the traditional Nike swoosh.
Among the items media were able to see on Wednesday was an image of the long-sleeve blue shirt MI football coach Jim Harbaugh, who apparently helped design the shirt, will wear.

Numerous items feature a block “M” combined in some way with a Nike swoosh or the iconic Jumpman symbole. The color known as “Maize” is now being called “Amarillo” by Nike, so MI could now be referred to as Amarillo and Blue.
