SNL announced Morgan’s return, along with the hosts for the first two episodes on Twitter Monday afternoon.

Miley Cyrus will kick things off on October 3 followed by Amy Schumer and Tracy Morgan. Schumer tweeted that’s she’s ready. This will be the 30 Rock star’s first major performance since he was critically injured in a June 2014 auto accident that took the life of his longtime friend and colleague, James McNair.

To think there was a chance Tracy Morgan would never be amusing again after his incident was crushing, but to realize we were so close to never seeing him again period was far worse.

Musical guests will be announced later.

Speaking publicly for the first time since the crash, Morgan told NBC’s Matt Lauer on “Today” in early June, “I can’t believe I’m here”.

Meanwhile, Schumer, whose sketch show “Inside Amy Schumer” has been generating massive buzz in 2015, promises she’s got some good material in store for “Saturday Night Live“. “And when I’m there, you’ll know it”. Which celebrities would you like to see host an episode of SNL this fall?
