In a year where Fey already was part of a comedy classic with “The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” and Poehler wrapped up the fantastic “Parks and Recreation”, “Sisters” doesn’t stand as high in either of their canons.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler monologue – Some nice banner between the two, but we don’t really think the whole opening song worked.
Kate McKinnon played present-day Clinton, who, upon going to bed – in nothing less than a spiffy pantsuit – is visited by herself circa 2008 played by Amy Poehler.
After the women exchange long exaggerated “hello’s”, the pair get down to business, with McKinnon filling Poehler in on what’s to come for the year 2015.
Tina and Amy then spoofed Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” video with their own version called “Tina and Amy’s Dope Squad”, which included people like their nannies and their gynecologists.
‘I heard that after you lost you had to become a secretary, ‘ she tells 2008 Hillary.
They also impersonated Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin, after the successful open debate from 2008.

SNL will return January 16 with Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Girls star Adam Driver as host.

Holding up her action figure, Poehler said, “Okay, I’ve read this guy’s name three times, I don’t remember it. I don’t care”. Her warning to 2015 Hillary was perhaps even more dire than 2008 Hillary’s: “I should be the one giving you advice – in 2008 I got a heckuva lot closer to the White House than this gal did”.
