MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. The growing feud between Republican front-runner Donald Trump and his central rival Ted Cruz intensified on Saturday with tit-for-tat attacks that put to rest any notion that their debate night fight was a solitary engagement.

Both men on Friday demanded Cruz apologize to the people of NY – with Cuomo accusing him of “demonizing” those he disagrees with and polarizing voters so as to “make it impossible to govern”.
“Everyone understands that the values in New York City are socially liberal or pro-abortion or pro-gay marriage-focus around money and the media”, Cruz said.
“If he had any class or possessed true presidential timber, Ted Cruz would offer New Yorkers a real apology instead of sarcasm – not because we need it, but to prove he’s not a hypocrite”.
New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio tweeted: Just this once, Trump’s right: New Yorkers value hard work, diversity, tolerance, resilience, and building better lives for our families.
Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-Shirley) said in a statement, “For me “New York values” means grit, resolve, pride, strength, diversity, and exceptionalism”. De Blasio, a liberal Democrat, also noted that “I find myself, for once, in agreement with Donald Trump”.
For much of the first half of the 20th Century, references to “New York” were often slanderous code for Jews and other European immigrants from Italy, Ireland, and Poland.
Besides the race between Cruz and Trump, there is another between Cruz and Florida Senator Marco Rubio.
Trump warned that candidates like Cruz would hire “political hacks” in their administrations.
Many New Yorkers PIX11 asked about the issue agreed that what they deserved to hear was the Texas senator saying he was sorry. We want to hear from you. The U.S. Constitution says only “natural born” citizens can become President of the United States.
Trump, in perhaps his most heartfelt remarks of the night, harked back to New York’s response to the September 11, 2001, attacks to defend his home city.
“Ted Cruz said he “didn’t know” that he was a Canadian Citizen”, Trump wrote.
He went on to say he had “good news to the good people of NY”.

“I didn’t have a process server serve him right on the debate stage in South Carolina”, Schwartz said by phone Friday, adding that he paid the $400 filing fee out of his own pocket.
