Merry Jane’s backers and partners include actor Seth Rogen, venture capital firm Casa Verde Capital, LLC and strategic adviser Guy Oseary.

One segment of the site “Deflowered”, has been described as a “ground-breaking interview series that will profile innovative people as they enjoy cannabis”.

“We will be like the encyclopedia to the cannabis world”.

On Monday, Snoop Dogg announced plans to create a pot-lifestyle platform called Mary Jane.

He added that he thinks “Merry Jane is a game-changing platform for pop culture”.

Explaining his vision for the site, Snoop said: “There are so many people in the closet”.

Snoop will serve as the co-founder of MerryJane.com, which will feature news, videos, editorial content, and original programming.

The site is expected to be fully up and running within weeks. They will be the ones to provide the opportunity for these people to come out in the open and admit that they are fond of marijuana.

Merry Jane is launching at today’s Disrupt SF 2015 conference, with a limited amount of beta testers receiving invites today. Colorado, Washington, Alaska, Oregon and Washington D.C. have already legalized medical and recreational pot use.
