Snow Arrives, Winter Weather Advisory In Effect

The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has placed most of the viewing area under a Wind Advisory through 7 PM. North wind around 5 miles per hour becoming east in the morning.

Snow showers are predicted to taper off in the afternoon through evening.

Most schools had delayed openings and traffic moved slowly Tuesday morning after several inches of snow fell throughout southwest CT.

Thursday night: A 40 percent chance of snow showers. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 27.

For most the afternoon partly to mostly cloudy skies and a high near 33°. Cloudy, with a low around 20.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 74. Late Wednesday into Thursday is expected to be drier, yet the cold temperatures remain, meaning that any snow that falls, should stick around for the week.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 56. Cloudy, with a low around 11. Cloudy, with a high near 36.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 57. High temperatures will be around 30 degrees.

Temps will warm up Friday with highs in the 60s and lows in the 30s.
