So about that time Roland Martin taught Hillary Clinton how to “Wobble”
Had Clinton not evolved towards Republican viewpoints on war, foreign policy, Wall Street, and other issues, I wouldn’t have been quoted by The Wall Street Journal regarding my views on a Sanders/Warren ticket or by The American Military University on why Bernie Sanders won the Democratic debate. Sanders said his agenda will ultimately resonate with African Americans, including raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour and investing in education.

A particularly poignant moment included Martin asking all the Black women in attendance to stand up before asking Clinton if she would appoint a Black woman to the Supreme Court. Throughout the debate, she spoke relatively unhindered, although occasionally Anderson Cooper would make a halfhearted attempt to stop her.
“Well, look, I voted numerous times when I was a senator to spend money to build a barrier, to try to prevent illegal immigrants from coming in”, Clinton said.
But many moderates believe she will come around once the primary contest is over, particularly over trade when her opposition to Obama’s Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) deal is the biggest thorn in the side of pro-business Democrats.
Sanders framed his message of economic and social inclusion for the state’s Democratic Women’s Council by highlighting his support for gender pay equity, paid family leave and access to abortion and birth control.
Clinton will address VA waitlist issues when she proposes integrating Department of Defense and VA medical evaluations, allowing a few “rules-based automatic adjudication” for simple applications and providing veterans with an appeals process to challenge the VA when they think their health claims are unfairly denied.
Hillary Clinton’s new position on marijuana was not herald by all marijuana activists.
During her previous White House run in 2008, Clinton ran to the right of Obama on immigration and other issues. She stated, “I’m a progressive”. But I’m a progressive who likes to get things done. She said, “Well, I’m a Democrat”.
Sanders also found a way to reconcile his discomfort in delivering hard-hitting, personal attacks with the reality that attacking Hillary Clinton is the only way he is going to win the nomination. I’m a lifelong Democrat.
“Free speech” has become too expensive for most voters; it’s time to put “We the People” in the driver’s seat of our democracy. This led to a discussion regarding the increasing number of people being denied jobs because of credit reports and whether or not Clinton supports Waters’ legislation, which will fix and wipe out credit scores as a job requirement. Clinton thanked Sanders and continued to laugh. When Anderson Cooper attempted to redirect the question back to Clinton, asking if she would respond, she replied with a simple “No.” and the crowd exploded with uproarious cheers.
The Clinton-bashing started early, in the undercard debate.
As of Sunday afternoon, the Hill reported Clinton had 127 congressional endorsements from Democrats, including New Jersey Sen. But Clinton emerged from that debate as anything but scathed.

All three candidates who will appear at Winthrop University Friday night have in recent months had high profile, and sometimes tense, encounters with Black Lives Matter protesters who have pushed the candidates in the Democratic field to proclaim their position on policing issues.
