Soccer Sensation Cristiano Ronaldo Wins ‘Best Player In Europe’ Award
The 31-year-old added, “I want to retire at Real Madrid because it’s the best club in the world”.

“In my book, Pepe was extraordinary this year”.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo has admitted in an interview with the Uefa official website that last season was the best of his career, as he won the Champions League crown with Real Madrid before helping his national team conquer Euro 2016.
The victor will be announced on Thursday in Monaco at the 2016-17 Champions League group-phase draw.
Real Madrid’s forward Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal, kisses his trophy after winning the best player of the year award, during the UEFA Champions League draw, at the Grimaldi Forum, in Monaco, Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016.
One of the other nominees for the award, Antoine Griezmann, was quoted by FoxSports as more deserving than Cristiano Ronaldo to get the UEFA Best player in Europe award this year some days before the victor was announced. Moreover, Ronaldo will now captain the European champions Portugal.
Ronaldo is bidding to equal Barcelona’s Lionel Messi with the most UEFA accolades since the inception of the prize in 2011. He won the title and defeated Gareth Bale and Antonie Griezmann to bag the trophy. “I’m delighted he was selected in the Team of the Tournament at the EURO”, Ronaldo declared.
“I’ve always wanted to win something with Portugal and now I’ve managed it”. “Obviously I want to win trophies with my team, with my country and when you do that you get up for awards like this”.
“I think all of the games we [Atletico] won, but especially the Champions League quarterfinal and semifinal”. Bale managed 19 league goals, and bodily dragged Wales to their first-ever European Championship semi-final, but to be fair, he probably snuck into the top three on the strength of that European performance, especially considering how Luis Suarez played this year.
The incredible season, which also saw him finish as the Champions League’s top scorer, is among the best of Ronaldo’s impressive career, according to the man himself.

“I was very happy and very proud [to be nominated]”, he told World Soccer.
