Shocked over the news of the singer’s demise, B-town took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and shared tribute for him.

He is best known for his ubiquitous smashes – “When Doves Cry”, “Kiss”, “Raspberry Beret” and an astounding 30 more Top 40 hits. “Great Sense Of Humor”.
Prince is the most incredible artist I have ever worked with as a single talent.
Madhuri Dixit: A legend is no more. “Prince R.I.P I am crying!” “Purple Rain is falling all over the world today!”.
The cause of Prince’s death has yet to be revealed but he had been sick with flu, which caused him to cancel several performances.
Oprah Winfrey referenced one of Prince’s most popular song’s in her tweet. You were actually the King. “Prince was a once-in-a-lifetime artist who transcended every medium and genre he touched and created music with a passion and individuality that inspired multiple generations”.
“Rest in peace to a very lovely soul”. When it tickled him, he dove into unusual art rock (see half of “Around the World in a Day”). To die, is only to live on in the songs, forever. First MJ and now Prince! Not only was he a dear friend to me, but an inspiration. Will miss them and their music…
Sugar Ray Leonard – I met Prince and had brief discussions with him and he was without question, a Special individual! Grew up listening to your awesome music. RIP Prince… ð¨ð”ð¢- Demi Lovato (@ddlovato) April 21, 2016I can’t”. You were the coolest!!!
Civil rights activist Reverend Jesse Jackson said he was “shocked & heartbroken to hear news of death of dear friend #Prince”. Prince is gone. Musician par excellence. I’ll never forget my brother.
Aaron Rodgers – Sad news today about the passing of a legend #Prince.
Monica Dogra: I’m not a woman. “You will be missed my brother”.
In an age of auto-tuned pop automatons it’s hard to imagine there was a time when pop music could be surprising, sexy, funky and smart.
“Prince is gone. Music has lost a great presence”.
Raghu Ram: The afterlife is getting a crash course in Musicology! (You can hear what could’ve been on “If I Was Your Girlfriend”, a odd and scary highlight from 1987’s landmark Sign o’ the Times.) The two were always the coolest people in the room, no matter the room.
