A local person has taken over the live broadcast in the early hours of Thursday, saying that the corridors of the building were under the control of the police’s special forces.

Türk, the Turkish affiliate of the global news channel, was taken over by soldiers during the country’s attempted military coup on Friday night.

Turkish broadcaster CNN-Turk says a group of soldiers have entered the headquarters of the Dogan Media group, which owns the television channel, APA reports.

At least 60 people were killed during overnight clashes in capital Ankara following an attempted coup in Turkey.

Because of the current crisis in Turkey, CNN Turk choose to share its broadcast on Facebook Live, something it doesn’t normally do.

The network continued broadcasting footage of the empty studio, with reports that sounds of a gunfire and fighting could be heard in the background.

Apparently pro-government protesters could heard shouting “Allahu akbar” on the CNN Turk broadcast and, at one point, a man reportedly shouted a pro-government slogan on the air.
