Israel does not have enough evidence to prosecute the suspects in the July arson attack in the West Bank village of Duma that killed three members of a Palestinian family, including an 18-month-old baby, Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon said on Tuesday. During the current wave of violence, at least 115 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire.

The clashes began when Israeli forces raided the town, witnesses said.

Israel says the violence is fanned by a Palestinian campaign of lies and incitement.

An Israeli army statement said that no troops were wounded and shells were fired in response. But other sources provide much higher figures for the number of Palestinians killed while attacking Israelis, or attempting to attack Israelis.

According to police, the attacker also had an axe inside the auto.

The daily terror attacks against Israeli Jews are “the result of fear, humiliation, frustration and mistrust”.

At the United Nations in NY, U.S. Ambassador Samantha Power, told reporters that envoys of the so-called Quartet of Mideast mediators are now in the region for “substantive meetings” with both Israeli and Palestinian leaders.

On Wednesday, envoys of the global diplomatic quartet met senior Israeli officials in Jerusalem and were due to meet Palestinian officials on Thursday.
