Some Congressional Republicans Think Trump Has A Point On Putin
Speaking to Larry King on RT America, which is an arm of government-funded news outlet Russia Today, Trump said it would “not be appropriate” if Russian forces were looking to influence the race, which is suspected by some investigators and has been fanned by Hillary Clinton’s campaign as recently as Thursday morning.

During the forum Wednesday, the Republican presidential nominee predicted that, as president, he would have a “very, very good relationship with Putin”, whom he described as a “leader”.
Last night The Daily Show returned to its old self. Both candidates believe they have the upper hand, with Clinton contrasting her experience with Trump’s unpredictability and the Republican arguing that Americans anxious about their safety will be left with more of the same if they elect Obama’s former secretary of state. Clinton is still working on a clear, crisp explanation for why she used a private server and whether that reflects on her judgment — issues Trump will look to exploit.
Not known for being humble, the real estate business mogul said, “Well, I think when he calls me brilliant, I think I’ll take that compliment, OK?” “And, you know, the handsome part of getting along, Russian Federation wants to defeat ISIS as badly as we do”.
“Matt Lauer asked so many questions about email, I thought I was stuck in line at the Genius Bar”, Noah joked. “I find it frustrating, but it’s just part of the landscape that we live in and we just keep forging ahead”.
Rob Stutzman, a Sacramento-based GOP consultant, said Trump could have avoided giving his opponents an opening if he had been more careful with his language.
“The military commanders serve at the pleasure of civilian authority”.
“Either you attack or you don’t attack”, Trump said.
The forum also underscored an oft-overlooked point: Clinton and Trump defy convention labels around foreign policy, especially as they traditionally attach to their respective parties, to an unusual degree.
Hmm, I’m not sure that I’m accurately getting my point across: when Donald Trump says he “was totally against the war in Iraq” he is saying something that is provably false. “What it means is ‘I’ll give you an economy you had 50 years ago, and I’ll move you back up on the social totem pole and other people down, ‘” he said.
It may be that the first forum will only drive more interest in the third-party candidates — the people who are lobbying for inclusion in the highly-anticipated debates.
“Ronald Reagan had his name on a lot of marquees. Yeah, I would say that certain moderators would be unacceptable, absolutely”, he said. This is not about me.

Reiterating remarks she made during a news conference earlier in the day, Clinton added, “I was trying to think about what other presidents would be imagining hearing that, coming out of the nominee for the Republican Party?” The match-up between Democrat Tim Kaine and Republican Mike Pence will take place at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia.
